The Alice Martineau Appeal has been established by the family and friends of Alice who died last year from Cystic Fibrosis aged 30. Alice’s album Daydreams was released by Sony in November 2002 to great critical acclaim. The aim of the Appeal is to raise money for the crucial Gene Therapy research currently funded by the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. £8 million is still desperately needed so PLEASE support us as generously as possible. Too many young lives are affected and, all too often, destroyed by this devastating disease, but you can help us find a cure. We are very fortunate and most grateful to have received generous sponsorship to cover the costs of the evening, so that anything you give us will go directly to the CF Trust. Alice’s brother, Luke, who is an established artist, has
donated a series of small paintings of Alice, each one linked to
a letter of the alphabet, for sale by silent auction at the reception.
The words illustrated by these pictures are designed to celebrate
Alice in a personal way whilst having a universal appeal. We very
much hope that you will take part in the bidding on the night, but
should you be unable to come and wish to bid nevertheless, please
